A World-Class Multipurpose Venue
The Brisbane Entertainment Centre is a premier venue in Queensland for concerts, sports, and events. In addition to the main arena, the venue also boasts an Indoor Sports Hall that provides community participation opportunities for thousands of Queenslanders. Ownership of the Centre was transferred to Stadiums Queensland (formerly Major Sports Facilities Authority) on 1 July 2002 and is operated by ASM Global.
A Historic Opening
The Centre's grand opening event featured a memorable performance by British ice dancers Torvill and Dean on 20 February 1986, with tickets priced at $22.90 for adults and $15.90 for juniors.
Global Recognition
The Brisbane Entertainment Centre has received numerous accolades over the years. In 2010, it was ranked No.1 in the world by Venues Today for venues with a capacity between 10,000 and 15,000, and by Billboard Magazine in the same category. In 2012, it once again claimed the top spot in Venues Today’s worldwide "Top Stops" rankings, surpassing venues like O2 World Hamburg and Vector Arena Auckland. The Centre was also a nominee for "Best Energy Efficient Project" at the AEG Summit in 2015.
