The Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre (QSAC) is one of Queensland's leading venues for high-performance sport and athletics. It plays a crucial role in fostering athletic excellence, from elite training to community participation. QSAC is the go-to destination for international, national, state, and local athletics competitions, as well as school carnivals and various other events.

QSAC is home to several top-tier sports organisations, including the Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS), Little Athletics Queensland, and Netball Queensland. High-performance athletes and national sporting teams such as the Matildas and Socceroos have used QSAC for training and competitions.

The Main Stadium features a World Athletics Class 1 ten-lane Rekortan track surrounding an international-standard playing field, making it ideal for major athletics events and high-performance training. This main stadium can accommodate up to 48,500 spectators. Adjacent to the main stadium is the State Athletics Facility (SAF), which boasts a World Athletics Class 2 track, perfect for both competitions and training, with seating for 2,100 spectators.

QSAC also hosts the National Throws Centre of Excellence, offering state-of-the-art facilities for athletes in disciplines like discus, shot put, and javelin. QSAC also includes the Sandstorm beach volleyball complex, which is a world-class facility with eight courts for social sports, school bookings, and corporate events. Additionally, Nissan Arena, located on-site, is a purpose-built indoor venue with 5,000 seats, serving as the home for Netball Queensland and the Queensland Firebirds.
