SQ contributes to the wellbeing of children through its facilities that support children and young people to engage with sport and entertainment, including participation in high performance and community sport.
SQ is committed to the prevention of violence and harm to children at its venues. Being a child safe organisation is integral to SQ achieving its goals under the 2023 – 27 Strategic Plan, being:
- Deliver world class experiences;
- A world leader in major venues portfolio ownership and management; and
- An industry leading high performing organisation.
SQ applies Queensland’s child safe standards and the universal principle in the development of policies and procedures to safeguard children from harm. The application of the universal principle is consistent with SQ’s Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) Framework 2023 – 2027.
