The Gold Coast SUNS will continue to call People First Stadium home under a new long-term partnership with Stadiums Queensland.
Full management of the venue will also transfer to venue owner Stadiums Queensland (SQ) on 1 March 2026 following an agreement with current lease holder, the AFL.
SQ Chief Executive Todd Harris said securing the Gold Coast SUNS at People First Stadium for another ten years reinforces the important impact the club and the AFL has on the Gold Coast region.
“The SUNS had a standout season last year, alongside a huge calendar of events at the venue.
“We are delighted they have recommitted to People First Stadium for years to come.”
Mr Harris said the Gold Coast has a growing reputation for major event attraction and delivery.
“People First Stadium is an important part of Queensland’s major event network, and this shift will help drive stronger, more streamlined operations across the State’s venues on the pathway to Brisbane 2032.
“We are proud to be a part of it,” he said.
