Stadiums Queensland taps into new technology

15/05/2026

Fans attending this weekend’s Magic Round at Suncorp Stadium will be able get a taste of not one, but two, self-serve pop up bars that offer perfectly poured draught beer in seconds and allow fans to get back to the action quicker.

Following a successful trial at The Gabba last year, two new units have been installed at Suncorp Stadium until the end of the 2026 NRL Season.

Stadiums Queensland Chief Executive Todd Harris said the organisation is continually looking to enhance the game day experience at venues across the portfolio.

“This technology not only provides a great experience for fans, but also speeds things up, and provides a more consistent pour with less wastage.”

“Stadiums Queensland is always looking to champion innovation and use the latest technology and equipment to ensure our local, national, and international visitors have the world-class experiences they have come to expect at Stadiums Queensland venues.”

Customers will undergo the same ID and responsible service of alcohol checks as at a standard bar.

The bars can be found on level seven at Suncorp Stadium until the end of the football season in September.
