Queensland has cemented its reputation as the undeniable home of major sport with three teams confirmed for 2025 NRL and AFL finals.
The games are set to draw record crowds as Queenslanders rally behind their home teams that have again shown they can hold their own against Victoria and New South Wales.
Finals will kick off with The Gold Coast Suns playing their first ever semi-final in an historic Q-clash against the Brisbane Lions at The Gabba.
Stadiums Queensland Chief Executive Todd Harris said the buzz is high at The Gabba and Suncorp Stadium as the home teams prepare for finals.
“We’ve seen record crowds through the gates during the last few regular season NRL and AFL rounds, including average crowds of around 40,000 at Broncos’ home games for the first time in history, no doubt powering our teams to the finish,” Mr Harris said.
“Our venue teams have been working hard behind the scenes to pull these events together and set the stage for some of our biggest sporting events of the year.”
